Team Management

Add team members, assign roles, and control exactly what each person can access in YardPilot.

Overview

YardPilot uses a permission-based access control system with four built-in roles:

OwnerFull access to everythingBusiness owners
AdminFull access except role managementSenior managers
OfficeCRM, quoting, invoicing, schedulingAdmin staff, schedulers
FieldView assigned work, complete visitsTechnicians, field staff

Need more granular control? You can create custom roles with any combination of permissions.

Invite a Team Member

  1. Go to Settings > Team Members
  2. Click Invite User
  3. Enter their email and select a role
  4. Click Send Invitation

Change Someone's Role

  1. Go to Settings > Team Members
  2. Click on the team member
  3. Select a new role
  4. Click Save

Create a Custom Role

  1. Go to Settings > Roles & Permissions
  2. Click + Create Role
  3. Name your role and configure permissions
  4. Assign team members to the role
