Mobile App
Field crews can run YardPilot from a phone in two ways.
Install from the browser (PWA). Add app.yardpilot.io to the home screen. You get the same CRM the desktop browser uses.
Native app. The Capacitor app is a smaller set of screens. It is not the full CRM.
There is no public App Store or Play Store listing in this guide. If your team was given a native build, use that. Everyone else should install the PWA.
Installation
YardPilot is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Install it from the browser. You do not need an app store.
iPhone / iPad
- Open Safari and go to app.yardpilot.io
- Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
- Tap Add to confirm
Android
- Open Chrome and go to app.yardpilot.io
- Tap the three dots menu (top right)
- Tap Add to Home Screen or Install App
- Tap Install to confirm
TIP
After installation, YardPilot appears as an app icon on your home screen and works like a native app.
What the native app includes
The native shell only opens these areas:
- Home (dashboard)
- Schedule and visits
- Jobs
- Work requests
- Quotes
- Contacts and properties
- Invoices and payments
- Settings
- Login, password reset, and billing status
It does not open Tasks, Equipment, Insights, Roster, Timesheets, Leave, Campaigns, NPS, Email Logs, SMS Activity, Reviews, or Help & Support. Those stay in the browser or PWA.

For office staff (PWA)

- Notifications - Visit and quote updates
Team location is not a native-app screen. Use the desktop or PWA schedule if your company shows crew position there.
Offline Mode
YardPilot works offline for essential tasks:

WARNING
Changes made offline sync automatically when you're back online. Ensure you have connectivity before end of day for accurate records.
Notifications
Enable push notifications to receive alerts for:
- New job assignments
- Schedule changes
- Quote approvals
- Messages from clients
Enabling Notifications
- Open YardPilot app
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Toggle on the notifications you want
- Allow notifications when prompted by your device
Troubleshooting
App won't install
- Ensure you're using Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android)
- Clear browser cache and try again
- Check you have enough storage space
Not receiving notifications
- Check device notification settings for YardPilot
- Ensure notifications are enabled in YardPilot settings
- Check Do Not Disturb isn't blocking notifications
App running slowly
- Close and reopen the app
- Clear the app cache in Settings
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
Data not syncing
- Check your internet connection
- Pull down to refresh
- Log out and log back in
