Connect your Google Business Profile to start monitoring reviews in YardPilot.
Finding Your Google Review Link
Your Google review link is the URL customers use to leave reviews. Here's how to find it:
From Google Business Profile Dashboard
- Go to Google Business Profile Manager
- Select your business
- Click Get more reviews or Share review form
- Copy the link provided
From Google Maps
- Search for your business on Google Maps
- Click on your business listing
- Click Write a review
- Copy the URL from your browser's address bar
Link Formats
YardPilot accepts these Google review link formats:

Not Supported
Links to Google search results (google.com/search?q=...) are not supported. Use a direct link to your business profile.
Connecting Your Profile
- Go to Settings in the main navigation
- Click Google Reviews in the settings sidebar
- Paste your Google review link in the field provided
- Click Save
YardPilot will:
- Validate your link
- Extract your Google Place ID
- Save the connection
Validation Errors
| Error | Solution |
|---|---|
| Invalid link format | Make sure you're using a g.page or maps.google.com link |
| Could not find business | Double-check the link opens your correct business profile |
| Link required | Enter your Google review link before saving |
Syncing Reviews
Automatic Sync
Once connected, YardPilot automatically syncs your reviews every 24 hours. No action required.
Manual Sync
To sync reviews immediately:
- Go to Settings > Google Reviews
- Click Sync Now
- Wait for the sync to complete (usually 30-60 seconds)
Sync Status
You'll see a status indicator showing:
- Last synced: When reviews were last fetched
- Review count: Total reviews synced
First Sync
Your first sync may take a few minutes as YardPilot fetches all your existing reviews. Subsequent syncs only check for new reviews.
Disconnecting
To disconnect Google Reviews:
- Go to Settings > Google Reviews
- Clear the review link field
- Click Save
Your synced reviews will be kept for historical reference but no new reviews will be fetched.

Troubleshooting
"Google Business Profile not configured"
You need to add your Google review link in Settings before syncing.
Reviews aren't appearing
- Make sure your business has reviews on Google
- Try clicking Sync Now to trigger a manual sync
- Check that your review link is correct
Wrong business showing
If reviews from the wrong business are appearing:
- Delete the current link
- Verify you have the correct g.page link for your business
- Re-enter the link and save
Sync is slow
The first sync fetches all historical reviews and can take 1-2 minutes. Subsequent syncs are faster.
Rate Limits
To avoid overloading Google's servers:
- Automatic sync: Once every 24 hours
- Manual sync: Limited to 5 times per minute
If you see a rate limit error, wait a minute and try again.
